The Launch of #WomanMade

We've been talking all week about how we are celebrating International Women's Day, but it's been a build up for the launch of something truly brilliant, exciting and innovative... if we do say so ourselves.

Let's backtrack, because we've been using the term #womanmade but where did it come from?

When something is man-made it means it was created by humans alone rather than occurring naturally. And when someone is self-made, it definitely wasn't nature that got them to the top - it took a vision, a lot of self-determination, and one hell of a thick skin.

We have been celebrating successful, self-made women, both inside and outside of our office, with a series of inclusive talks and events. But we want to play an active role in working towards a more gender balanced world - not just today on International Women's Day, but going forward too.

Because, female success doesn't just happen, it takes courage to reach a goal. That's what it means to be #WomanMade. So let's say it.

Introducing: #WomanMade

Today we launch #WomanMade: Haygarth Group's programme to find and support one female founder at the start of her small business journey.

Throughout 2019, staff from across Haygarth Group will personally mentor one business leader of the future, equipping her with skills and resources to help her enterprise on the road to success - from HR to finance, strategy to creative.

Our chosen woman and her business will enjoy:

One-to-one coaching each month with a different Haygarth Group expert

These sessions will cover HR basics, Finance 101, Mastering Social Media, Strategy Masterclass, The e-commerce clinic and a Recipe for the Perfect Pitch.

All in our vibrant Wimbledon office
